World War II Day - Year 6

Year 6 had an incredible day where they were steeped in history this term. The children welcomed Portals to the Past and took part in a plethora of activities that brought the subject of World War II to life. These included stretcher races, code craking, map reading and the chance to look at artefacts from this period in time. They also looked at what might be in an evacuee's suitcase, went through some air raid precaution training and thought about how people kept their spirits high during the war. A big thank you to Jessica who brought in some artefacts from the war to show her classmates too! Well done, Year 6. What a fantastic day!
