Egyptian Day
Year 4 recently took part in a rather special Egyptian day! The children learned all about the Gods of Ancient Egypt with some fantastic role play enjoyed by everyone. They then learned about mummification and the process this entails. A very willing volunteer dramatised how their liver, stomach, intestines and lungs would have been mummified in a ceremony which involved the removal of the brain as well. Ouch!
Year 4 had such a fantastic time and also enjoyed their linked DT project, making some wonderful tombs and palaces as well.
Thank you so much to all the children in Year 4 for such a fantastic day which everyone enjoyed. A huge thank you must also be said to our fabulous parents and carers who supported the day with some incredible costumes.
